Couture and culture

Couture and Culture is a fusion of heritage and American high fashion, creating a meeting point between the traditions of our homelands and the world of contemporary fashion. For many Howard University students who travel from different countries, navigating a new environment can come with the challenge of finding a sense of belonging. Yet, within the fashion community, these differences have become something to embrace rather than overcome. Through fashion, students have found spaces where their identities are celebrated, their creativity is encouraged, and their cultures are uplifted. Couture and Culture celebrates community, identity, and the beauty of bringing our cultures together through fashion.
